Harry *does* realize he got *mousetrapped*, doesn't he? Not by Fudge....but by *Hermione Granger*. Fudge's case fell apart worse than a hand of Exploding Snap made with C-4 (and a heck of a lot faster), and I wouldn't have put it past Hermione to have set up Harry by setting up Fudge. Hermione knew Fudge had to go, and that the ONLY person likely to be able to put the Ministry back together the RIGHT way after tearing it down didn't WANT the bloody job (basically, Harry). The Prophecy Harry referred to was made by Sybil Trelawney in OotP (in front of Harry, Ron, and a shocked Umbridge). The best way to tell a lie is to tell just enough of the truth.....then shut up. Still, the idea of killing Riddle with a Cheering Charm...utterly priceless!

Mr.Intel replied:

If he does, he loves Hermione too much to lay into her for it.   Perhaps Harry's inner Slytherin is glad to have the reigns of the Wizarding world so he can put things to rights.   Whatever his reasoning, I'm glad someone figured this out.   Hermione has her own ambitions and getting Harry the post lets her have the ear of the Minister while not being thrust into the limelight directly.   Pretty smart witch, eh?

Thanks for the great review!

Like it.. It's strange that this is close to an oneshot, and iet it feels like a long story.. in the good way of course.. the only thing i found strange was the spell or order that Fudge had to have the same treatment as H. I don't know.. just strange.. For the rest, congrats.. and love the ending profecy..

Excellent conclusion to this little arc. This flowed a lot better and tied things together nicely. Shame Harry had to interrupt his honeymoon to get himself cleared, but Hermione just wasn't going to let things rest until she'd successfully defended him, was she?

I thought you might have a little more of a stand-off between Ginny and Molly about having a more formal wedding, but even without it, the story rounded off nicely. Thank you.

Wow. an amazing end to this short story... Harry becoming Minister was something that I didn't see coming, I can tell you that! I like the honeymoon thing as well... 'We went on honeymoon for a week, then we had to come back so that the new husband could go back to prison and then attend a trial, then, the week after that, we were back in our honeymoon!' ha! Love it!
I liked the Wizengamot deliberation as well!
