I'll object to that. The only problem with Australia is that all the interesting places are too far apart ;)

I never really review (as most of you already know) because I don't write...and I feel an old American saying applies: Those that can do, Those that can't teach...or in this case comment. I found this to actually be one of the most entertaining Harry Goes To Azkaban stories I have read. To Pick it apart does an injustice to the idea of the story. This isn't bobmin, and the never ending story (although I DO like Sunrise, even if I'm not a HP/HG shipper). IF this was longer, your writing would rank up there with my most admired writer: CreativeQuill, who unfortunately is no longer writing.
Mousetrapped, gas lighted...whatever you want to call it, I doubt that Harry could be corrupted. My comment: Sit back, enjoy the ride and TRY to realise this is fan fiction. "Fiction" being the operative word!

The prophecy bit was a nice touch.

Good story! I think I might have read part of it at one time, but not all of it.
Thanks for writing!

Ahhh that was a work of art, it really was! I must admit that I especally liked your last little blurb about a 'prophesy'. Ties the whole thing together rather well!
I look foreward to more of your works in the future, Please keep up the excellent work!

personally approving every single article that was to be published in every single Wizarding periodical. Is this intended to include the Quibbler? I'm surprised, given its traditional independence, as portrayed in Canon, such as their publishing the interview with Harry, or Luna Lovegood's comments on the Rotfang Conspiracy (which was presumably written up in the Quibbler).
wizsardingYou mean wizarding .
picked up one of the three tombsYou mean tomes . Tombs are where dead people are interred.
More generally, I enjoyed the story. I liked the cleverness of the conclusion, where Harry quotes Trelawney's prophecy.

It's not that some things are left to the reader's imagination, it's that some things seem to be left OUT. Like, entirely. Just little niggling things.
No big deal - especially since it's just a diversion from the "real" stories. :)
But pay attention to that review that mentions "Hermione's mousetrap." There's a sequel idea there you need to pay attention to - what if all the things in this story were engineered by Hermione to put Harry in the Minister's chair? It's, it's... it's Dumbledorean, is what it is! Harry hasn't been played that well since he was tricked into the DoM!

I thought the first chapter was GREAT! But this second part feels like there are entire sections missing. The spell Harry used wasn't explained well, and what happens after he;s set free isn't explained by the spell or explained in the story at all. Things just start skipping around in an odd stream of conscious way.
Oh, well. On to bigger and better things! Like 12 kids. Ouch. :)
Mr.Intel replied:
I'd have loved to write a long, drawn out narrative of every detail. The simple truth is that this was a nice diversion from my other. more important writing wherein I do go into greater detail. Given that, I did leave hints as to Harry's spell and its effects. Other readers seemed to have figured it out quite easily, so I'm worried that I was too vague.
Thanks for the constructive review!

Very good -- I liked it alot. But...
"It reminded Harry strongly of the Quidditch World Cup in 1995."
The Quidditch World Cup was in 1994, the summer before Harry's fourth year.
"Grant Clearwater, Penelope’s father and Percy’s father-in-law."
It sounds as though Grant is on the Wizengamot. Penny is a Muggle-born witch.
"...seven of them..."
Harry, Ron and Hermione destroyed seven Horcruxes? Harry destroyed the diary, Albus Marvolo's ring -- so were there seven more? There should only be six in the first place -- the seventh bit of soul is still in Voldemort.
I'm just being nitpicky, I guess. These small things didn't take away my enjoyment of the story. I especially like seeing Fudge get bested. LOL

Mr.Intel replied:
Yeah. The Quidditch Cup thing was a complete guess, as I didn't want to spend the mental effort to figure it out properly. Grant Clearwater is a wizard. Penelope's heritage is not firm in canon. Although Riddle did attack Muggle-borns, he was planning on killing a pureblood (Ginny) before Harry intervened. I'm taking that bit of liberty by making her father, at least, a wizard. The horcrux thing was a generalization Harry used during the trial to forgo having to use a painfully long narration about the whole mess. When he said 'we destroyed' he included the late, great Dumbledore.
All in all, you made some very good observations. I can see why FP values your input.

Oh, this is just hilarious! I love the way they did Fudge in. If he's so fond of Azkaban, let him stay there himself. Serves him right. Harry becoming minister by default is just the icing of the cake. You ever been to NZ? Sounds wonderful - just like Norway... ;-)
Great piece of work - as always. Thanks!

This was a great au story. I love the way Harry
got out of everything and the guilty got punished instead! What a great way to end a story. With a Trelauney Prophesy! ( we know how accurate all of her's are, right!?!)
Thanks for writing. This was fun. pms

*Laughs* I like the way this one ends. Contra Proferentum is a beautiful example of the applied Golden Rule. This does wrap up the story quite nicely and I enjoyed the little bits of fun you scattered throughout.
