Like the new lines of plot you are weaving. Muchly.
I thought that the delayed reaction that Ginny had with Harry was very realistic. Good on that. I also liked that you are not making Harry a know-it-all. The forgetting of the bludger was perfect. I totally forgot about it as well.

OK, so peter is free and the dragon pox also changes thing a lot. this should slow down the light side while the dark side gets the extra push that they need to speed up the time line, I was surprised when Harry didn't track down the headmaster to get the other Horcrux(s) sort out before Peter could do to much damage.
Again you keep the writing up and I will keep reviewing.

A very good story to date.

What lesson's is Harry taking? You've mentioned the standard curriculum, charms, transfiguration and potions. But not mention of whether he is using his second chance to improve his education by studying others, instead divination. I would have thought Runes and Arithmany...it would be interesting to see if this would affect the story.

Typically, the students don't choose their courses until third year, so Harry will have his chance then.   Right now, he's got a bit of something weird on his plate.

Weird, a starnge twist but I like it and I like the fast pace you have set. What is going on with Dumbledore? Did he bring the Dragon Pox into the school? Does this have something to do with the Horcruxes? Can't wait to find out. Keep up the great work! - Anthony

Good changes so far. Some slight variations on the theme. Peter had to escape or too much would have to be radically changed. I would think the year that will the hard one will be Harry being entered in the TWC, and Barty Jr replacing the real Madeye. Also you will have the problems on how to introduce and have the reconciliation between Lupin and Black in year 3.

All in all this is an interesting set of changes.
