Yes, I did see the C.S. Lewis influence, but I thought it was too obvious to comment on. :-)

Now I'm seriously puzzled. The Fidelius, which worked on Ginny like 10 minutes ago, didn't work on the Malfoys.

Malfoy must have already known magic didn't work, right? Otherwise he would have tried to hex them. But if he knew that, why did he come out into the open? He's arrogant, I grant, but that's just stupid. Even trying to chase them 1 on 4 without getting help is pretty dumb.

I'm curious to see where you take this. Right now I'm really scratching my head. :-)

Mr.Intel replied:

It is puzzling, isn't it? I'm afraid that I can't tell you why until the very end of the story, however. Pity that.

You are on the right track with Malfoy! I'm glad my hints aren't all ignored. Sharp eyes, Jim!

Elliot?! What the hell was I thinking?! The guy's name was Lewis.
How embarrassing... ^_~

We're all human.

C.S. Lewis did indeed influence this story, but I wonder if anyone can spot the level of influence. ;)

Hmm... Interesting. Inspired perhaps by one C.S. Elliot? :D
If I was Harry, though, I'd attemt to do magic more often, to see whether the restriction was temporary, wherever it seems to be coming from.

till your next update

Good chapter.

You know, I didn't read the end of book six very throroughly, as I was too miffed that the esteemed JKR saw fit to kill off Dumbledore, scheming old bastard that he might be in some people's fics.
But if I remember things correctly, the locket Harry and Dumbledore retrieved WAS the real one. The letter from R.A.B. Harry found immediately after Dumbledore's death said that R.A.B. had the locked and was going to destroy it. Of course Harry has no way to be sure of that, but it does sound like there's a defector in the Death Eaters.

In this story, it is quite a bit different. Is this intended, or did I really remember things that poorly?

continue soon

Nice...I originally didn't see Harry relenting to Ginny so quickly, but I wasn't taking Ginny's stubborn attitude into account. I think you have tapped into her psyche quite well. I can fully see her telling Harry off for being pig-headed. Thanks for the quick update, I look forward to the next chapter!

Great chapter. I think that you have Ginny peged right, I think in the 7th book she is going to be going with them in the end. Because its going to be the love he has for Ginny that is going to help him kill Moldymort.

You have got to continue this story...its too good not to. The writing style demands the reader's attention. The dynamic relationsip between Harry and Ginny is very well written. I also like how we see Hermione pinning over Ron instead of the other way around. You are my favorite author on ffa.net! Please keep up the good work!

Can't get from ch. 1 to ch. 2...other way round works fine, but there's no 'next' button on ch. 1. Fix please?

Oh, my! It looks like life is going to force both their hands, no matter what. This should get interesting, to say the least.

Nice chapter. I like the fight at the end. Excellent use of small spells to good effect. But when did Harry learn to Obliviate?

Thanks for sharing this with us.

Well done - glad to see this story in the public after a long hibernation!

Very interesting start.

I think that you made the Fidelius charm rather too easy, however. If it was that easy, I'd expect people to use it much more, both defensively and offensively. Like casting it on somebody else's house.

Looking forward to more.
