Well, I think Ginny *was* petulant, and selfish to boot in demanding that her honeymoon be a higher priority than her husband's life and future safety, but I don't have the H/G rose-coloured filters that you do.
I enjoyed the guts of the chapter, the proactive plan to rid Harry of the Elder Wand. This is only the second story I've read, I believe, which has grasped the Elder Wand nonsense that Rowling left us - Harry - with by the horns and tried to do something with it in order to make her thoughtless 'Harry becomes an auror!' interview statement consistent with her own canon. Good plan, and I was smiling until Draco materialised at the end. :-( All of that effort for nothing! :-(
Mr.Intel replied:
I can't wait for you to read chapter ten! Yes, I have rose-coloured filters on, but I'm happier with my H/G that way. Just between you and me, I'm toying with an H/Hr story on the side that's less "rosey".
Draco? He's a tosser and as he did countless times in school, he's bitten off more than he can chew. This one's gonna cost more than a broken nose....

An excellent chapter. It's odd to think of the kind of high speed chase you decribed being done in yatchs - a cruiser especially. The average luxury yacht would struggle to move at 20km/h under just motor power (that's running pace) but it would take a long time to get up to that pace. Yatch races are slow things and the amateurs in the chasing boat would struggle to move at the same speed as the Isabella Swan, although in a motor boat they would draw circles around them. While inaccurate, it was a great read and a good laugh.
Mr.Intel replied:
One of the things I regret about this chapter was the way I didn't express the use of magic in sailing the boats. They are faster because of the mariner magic that is being used. Otherwise, thanks for reading and reviewing!

Hi Mr. Intel, As much as I hate cliffies, you did a nice job here. I am enjoying the story very well and I am definitely looking forward to the next posting. I just wish that some of the other authors would post as often as you do. Carol

Cliffie!!!!!
Yeah it's a good chapter and a good cliffhanger! This was a very well written chapter. It moved really well and it was over before I even thought about it. Well done!

I'm a Canadian that used to live a couple hours up-Island from Victoria. Canada uses Celsius, 52F is 11C, and 75F is 23C. This may be a little cold for summer, but that's exactly the kind of weather Victoria has right now. (see http://weatheroffice.gc.ca/city/pages/bc-75_metric_e.html : 5-day forecast for Victoria Harbour)
Mr.Intel replied:
Thanks for the review and the reference! I knew they were using metric, but since I'm an American, I decided to use Imperial units.

> He explained how the wand is loyal to a wizard until that person is beaten in battle, or otherwise has it forcefully taken from him.
But Grindlewald *stole* the wand from Gregorovitch. It was a simple theft. Laughing at the wand maker as he slipped out the window with the wand.
Therefore Grindlewald never became master of the Elder Wand; Gregorovitch remained its owner. Did Voldemort murder Gregorovitch in Deathly Hallows? If so, then Voldemort became the master of the wand. But Grindlewald - and hence Dumbledore, Malfoy and Harry - never did.
Having a magical library, and magical search engines, is cool, but why didn't we see the latter in use at Hogwarts?
I wasn't expecting Broadmoor to recognise Harry, that came in from the blue; I thought everything was plain sailing, the way the chapter had been progressing. Looking forward to seeing if he was truly obliviated or not. Can it be - gasp! - that Hermione made a mistake in her obliviation?!?!?
Mr.Intel replied:
I'd count stealing in with "forcefully taken". The point, I think, is that the wand knows intent and if the current "owner" intends to keep it when it is taken from him/her, then the wand changes allegiance. Traitorous little slip of wood.
Hermione's memory charms aren't perfect, but the reason that Broadmoor recognized him is because he's Harry Potter. Everything sort of fell into place after that. Broadmoor didn't know why it was important, just that he knew someone in his chain of evil command needed to find him. We find out who that is in chapter nine.

Things get more and more complicated. It is too bad that Harry was recognized at the Quidditch game. Now he has something else to worry about. I'm glad Harry and Ginny got to see the gardens and had such a personal tour. That was great. It is sad that they found out sad things about their ancestors. I look forward to more of this story. Thank you for writing. pms

Hi Mr. Intel, The chapter is as well written as I have come to expect from you and I enjoyed it immensely. The elder wand is in the hands of the man who should have and keep it in trust, quite possibly in a vault in Gringotts or perhaps in their custody in one of their executive vaults where no person except for Harry can ever get his hands on it. Well, a very well done chapter anyway.
