You say this isn't very good? I'm sat alone at my computer, crying my eyes out and that's not good angst? Well, in that case I'd like to see a decent attempt.

Well, you sure managed to get your angst. It brought tears to my eyes. You can't get better than that. Great work. Keep writing.

You see, now i have a problem with this story. If Harry is going to wait for Ginny, and Ginny is to find "love" again, what about the poor sod that Ginny ends up marrying. DOes that mean that in "death" that that poor sod is going to be by himself....

These "together forever" discussions really through the spanners into re-marrying......

Bittersweet and angsty indeed. I'm actually more than a little afraid the JKR will kill Harry at the end, completing the Tragic Hero cycle. And while I agree that the young, with their whole lives ahead of them, should never contemplate suicide for emotional reasons, there are cases, especially among the elderly and infirm who are suffering from a terminal illness, where having the option to end one's own life with dignity should be allowed.

For myself, if the day comes where ill health makes me a burden on society, I hope I have the courage to choose the time and method of my own departure on to the next great adventure rather than dragging out the inevitable. Death, after all, is not optional; it will come to all of us eventually, despite all our protests. Better to meet it calmly, and in the words of the song 'Dust In The Wind', "Don't fear the Reaper."

*sniff* you actually made me cry! (so kudos to you.) this was wonderful. i knew almost from the start that she was going to kill herself, but i liked that scene between her and harry in the afterlife. angsty, yes, but very touching. i also like the ending, how you didn't have it eons later when she had lived her life, but instead had her going forth to meet it. :) great job.

I read this story too. Now i remember reading them at FF.net.

I loved them, i forgot about them but when you consider that i have some 1400 some fanfiction chapter alerts from various site in my email, it's not hard to forget a few.

You're attempt at angst is not very good?!?! Whoever told you that has no heart. Your words made me cry. Thank you for that beautiful story. I feel something along these lines is going to happen to canon!Harry, so this was not surprising. Her solution was, however. Leave it to Snape to bring her back. And leave it to Snape to still be alive when Harry is not. Figures. Life is like that.

Pam :-)

Well, it is short, but I beg to differ on the "not very good" part. I think you have done admirabley. Your point was made, your images crisp. Send me an owl if yer need me.

just going through the other reviews i came across one by "jamey". not that i support his thoughts about suicide but one has to agree that suicide committed by Voldemort or "osama" in real life would be a good example to his views...OH well not that it'd happen ... but.. One could wish .... dont you agree.

sanghamitra posted a comment on Friday 13th January 2006 1:01am for Together Forever

no angst please ...we have the canon enough for it.

You know what I hate the most? It's when authors of fanfics make disparaging comments of their perfectly written stories. This is one of the best angst one-shots I've ever had the pleasure of reading. Please, keep writing as beautifully as you have been, and update Consequences of the Mind soon!

With this fic, you touch a very sensitive subject for me, because my mind agree with you,but my heart is nowhere near it.
I must say that this indeed was very good. I can't wait to read more of your fics.

It does work rather well as pure angst. My compliments on an excellent read and a well set-up story.

A very nicely written story. I enjoyed the flashbacks from Harry that Ginny watched. However, I'm not certain I agree with your statement that "suicide is not a solution to any problem." I think that there are quite a few situations in which suicide *is* the solution to a number of problems - though I will admit that from what is presented here, this would not be one of them.

However, and yes, I do have the chops to be saying this, it strikes me as fairly arrogant to be judging how bad the pain someone else feels is, and what is or isn't a proper solution. I can easily see Ginny's life going very poorly, and her returning to the afterlife quite upset with Harry.

Life isn't pretty, life isn't grand, life isn't what you make it. Life simply *is*. We can do what we can to make the best of it, but that doesn't guarantee anything.

Nicely written, though I believe you're wrong.
